Organic Compound Degradation by Photocatalyst

We have focused on the development of WO3-based photocatalyst materials and on enhancing their catalytic performance in organic compound photodegradation by engineering their morphological structure and synthesizing composite materials. Porous WO3 particles have been developed by using a template-assisted spray-pyrolysis method. Our experiments show that porous WO3 has a high surface area so that the catalytic process can be more effective and efficient. In addition, a composite of WO3 and TiO2 has been synthesized by using a flame-assisted spray pyrolysis method and the catalytic process shows that the composite has a good activity in RhB degradation.
